What are your products made of?
Our scarves are made from a very lightweight silk called habotai silk. We call this air-silk because they feel as light as air.
Our Kimonos and Goddess Wrap Pants are made from habotai silk as well, but a little thicker in weight than the scarves.
How do you make your designs?
Hand-dyed - Our hand-dyed designs are custom made using a meticulous dip-dyeing process in small batches. All our silk dyes are non-toxic and made in the USA. Nothing goes to waste. We conserve and reuse all of our dye baths for future orders and designs.
Hand painted - Our hand painted designs are custom made using a variety of paint brushes and free flowing fabric paint that is non-toxic and made in the USA.
Hand-dyed + hand-painted - Our hand-dyed and hand painted collection is a two step process of dip-dyeing the silk and then hand-painted designs. All our dyes and paints are non-toxic and made in the USA.
What dyes and paints do you use?
Dyes - We dye in small batches and work with a dye specifically for silk. It is AZO free and non-toxic. We can reuse/recycle our dye baths for up to 6 months.
Paints - Our hand-painted designs are made from non-toxic paint that specializes in silk painting.
